3 Smokin' Hot Summer Looks You Can Do In Under 10 Minutes

Summer is almost upon it so at My Beauty Matches we felt it was time to start working on our Summer makeup game. It's time for bronzed cheek bones, sultry eye makeup and kissable summer lips. We've searched the internet for 3 of the hottest summer makeup looks and rounded up our favourite online beauty products and expert makeup tips so you can make the most of the summer in style this year.
For me this look is all about the hair, nothing says summer quite like big volume and gorgeous waves and one of the best products for recreating this "surfer hair" look is salt sprays such as the Surf Infusion Spray from Bumble & Bumble £9.50. To create gorgeous volume in an instant simply apply this product generously to wet hair and the spray will give your locks volume and texture so that you can shake up your style effortlessly when you're out and about. Pair with a complementary bronzer, one I love is this Maldives Magic Bronzer from Le Metier De Beaute £65.00, to dust across the cheek bones in a sun-stripping style. Sun-stripping is the latest bronzer trend we can't get enough of at MBM and to recreate this runway look simply place your bronzer or blusher in areas where the sun would naturally hit your face, giving the appearance of a natural tan.
For the pale-skinned beauties out there, overworking the bronze in Summer can be a pigment disaster when none of the popular hues seem to blend in with your skin tone. You can use self-tanning problems to overcome this problem, but personally we love the English Rose look all year round and there are plenty of summer makeup looks to work with paler skin tones. I love the look above as the subtle eye liner and rose tinted cheeks gorgeously complement the model's skin tone. To recreate this look you need to first apply your usual foundation and then find the perfect lip and cheek tint to suit your style. One of my favourite products on the market is the Benetint Lip & Cheek Stain from Benefit £FIND LINK because it has a gorgeous rose pink tone which lasts for hours. Then using a light brown eye liner like this Chocolate Reflections Eye Liner £26.50, from our brand of the month Yves Saint Laurent, craft the perfect kitten flick to add a subtle hint of glamour to your look.
Every Summer I find myself yearning for freckles which women who have them usually try so hard to cover up. Freckles are a gorgeous type of skin pigmentation so for the lucky few among you to possess them - embrace them! For those of you who aren't lucky enough to have them naturally, you don't have to let that stop you. First apply a gradual tan for you face, one product I love which smells heavenly is this Self Tanning Hydrating Facial Skin Cream from Sisley £74.00 as whilst the price tag may be on the premium side, this product is totally DHC-fragrance-free and smells like heaven. Then once your face looks suitably sun-kissed, using a brown eye liner pencil like this Smoothing Eye Liner Pencil in Brown from Shiseido £20.00, draw on the freckles where you would like them in small circular dots. For a more prominent freckle look do this before applying your blusher, but for a more natural look apply the blusher after you've drawn on your freckles.
To complete this look use a gorgeous burnt copper eye shadow like this NYX Cosmetics Baked Eyeshadow in Ambrosia £6.99to dust your upper lids and blend up towards the brows. Then finish off with either a natural looking set of false eye lashes, or a false lash effect mascara like the Benefit They're Real Mascara £16.00.
Whilst the English Summer may be fairly modest compared to the more tropical climates across the globe, there's no reason why you can't up the temperature with a smoking hot look this season. With these online beauty buys and expert makeup tips, you can make everyday look like a BBQ-on-the-beach kind of day.
