1. Face Framing Tendrils
Remember the 90’s beauty trend when you wore two strands of hair down the front of your face and thought you were a Spice Girl? Well tendrils are back. Except this time they are romantic, wispy and not gelled down. Keep yours in check with Schwarzkopf Supersoft Volumising Hairspray to hold all day with none of the crunch.
2. Eye Spy Eyeshadow
Another old favorite beauty trend: eye shadow, is back. This time it’s all gone a bit 80’s. Single colour eye shadows in a bright shade look super fresh when paired with clean, understated skin. Shadows in all colors of the rainbow will ring in the warm weather next spring. Sweep a single colour, over your lids like this gorgeous olive green Bare Minerals Shimmer Eyeshadow which will really make brown eyes pop. Or if you have blue eyes be daring and go for a blue or purple to make your eyes look even brighter Nars China Seas Duo Eyeshadow is surprisingly wearable.
3. Sculptural Updos
Up do’s were everywhere at fashion week, but gone was the slicked back low ponytail we saw in last season's beauty trends and in its place were braids, embellished buns, twists and loops held securely with polished metal slides and rings. Give hair some staying power with a medium hold styling cream such as Kerastase Styling Blow Dry Cream seen everywhere backstage it calms frizz, gives hair manageable hold and keeps humidity in check.
4. Bare Faced Cheek
No, we are not talking below the belt nudity, but actualmbare faces. Clear skin is the new flawless makeup and it was EVERYWHERE. Models were strutting down the catwalk with nothing more than a touch of highlighter on the high points and a slick of lip balm to highlight their luminous skin. We are currently lusting over Dr Perricone No Highlighter Highlighter a cutting edge serum with highlighting pearls that infuses skin with Vitamin C and a luminous glow that looks awe-inspiringly natural (just oh so much better). Get in on the action and ramp up your skincare routine a notch or two, with regular pore clearing masks like Bobbi Brown Instant Detox Mask and add in a brightening complexion boosting moisturiser such as Nars Optimal Brightening Concentrate which works hard to reduce dark spots and brighten complexions leaving skin looking youthful and glowing.
5. Natural Texture
Another beauty trend that is making the most of what mother nature gave us is natural hair. Hair all over the catwalk was left naturally dried for glossy, kinky, wavy strands that looked pretty damn great. Give hair a rest from the heat styling and show off what it does naturally. Wash and go with a spritz of Bumble & Bumble Prep Spray. A rich, strengthening mix of nutrients that keeps cuticles flat and adds shine. Your hairdresser will thank you for it.
