11 Back To Work Essentials You Need
Posted by Stephanie Orr in Skin Care, Makeup, Fragrances, Hair, Hands & Feet
With the start of September comes the beginning of a new season, yes Autumn is officially back, and whilst I'm still pining over the high - speed Summer that’s escaped us, if there’s one thing I'm excited about Autumn wise it’s my back to work beauty regime.
Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream
Hand Cream is one of my top product necessities that I have to keep with me at all times, in a bid to keep my hands looking as plump as possible. Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream, £21 is the perfect handbag companion that not only keeps my hands thoroughly moisturised, but also fits in well with the rest of my cosmetics collection.
Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser
Transition your way through to the Autumn season with Liz Earle’s Skin Repair Moisturiser, £19.50. Formulated with Avocado Oil, Echinacea and Vitamin E this lightweight day cream helps to keep skin hydrated and healthy all day long.
Rodial Instaglam Airbrush Primer
When it comes to maintaining shine free skin and minimising pore exposure a hard working primer is essential. I love Rodial’s Instaglam Airbrush Primer, £27.20 which helps to blur imperfections and create a long lasting base for makeup that stays put all day.
Anastasia Beverly Hills
Not sure where to start when it comes to choosing the right eye shadow this season? Anastasia Beverly Hills' Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette, £41 has every colour imaginable to take your eye look from a day at the office to a Hollywood goddess in no time at all, and if our experience is anything to go by, the high quality pigmented metallic and matte shadows will soon make your early morning makeup routine just that little bit more exciting.
La Roche - Posay
With the start of a new season comes the need for a new foundation, which means I'm on the search for something that will tick all the right boxes. La Roche Posay’s Toleriane Mattifying Mousse Foundation, £16.90 offers lightweight and long lasting coverage which is perfect for the Autumn season, plus with SPF 20 and sensitive skin suitability this is fast becoming a new foundation favourite.
If I've learnt anything about getting ready for work with seconds to spare, our number one advice is that brows are key. Shaping and tinting your brows couldn’t be easier with Clinique’s Just Browsing, £17.50. Smudge resistant and long lasting this tool helps to fill in and define even the sparsest brows, for back to work beauty which can be achieved with minimal effort.
If there’s one product I won’t step foot inside the office without applying first, it’s Lancome’s Hypnose Drama Mascara, £24.50. With a smudge proof formula that’s undefeatable this miracle working mascara is the answer to fuller defined lashes.
I often choose my day to day lipstick based on a refection of the season and so with that in mind I've chosen Lipstick Queen’s Sinner Lipstick in Hot Rose, £22 to see me through this month. Infused with Jojoba Seed Oil and Shea Butter this lipstick helps to keep my lips soft and supple with long lasting coverage.
Would this really be a back to work beauty line up if I didn’t include an obligatory pick of dry shampoo? As much as I’d love to say I’ve become a reformed woman for the new season I highly suspect Batiste's Blush Dry Shampoo, £1.39 will still be seeing me through my morning rushes. Compact and handbag friendly, this travel sized companion is one essential I won’t be leaving the house without.
What better way to embrace the new season than with a set of Autumn nails? NARS’ Sarah Moon Limited Edition Nail Polish in Never Tamed Moon, £15 is a stunning September shade which combines plum red with a hint of fuschia. Plus we’ve found it’s a pretty distraction to look at whilst we're typing at work.
Embrace the new season with a brand new back to work scent, I like Vilhelm Parfumerie's Basilico & Fellini Eau De Parfum, £155 which combines notes of dragonfruit and basil for a fresh fruity scent.
