Brand Of The Month: Burberry Beauty Has Us Weak At The Knees
Posted by Rachael Wheeler in Body, Makeup, Fragrances
We try a LOT of products here at My Beauty Matches, and because of that we can practically smell an enticing beauty product when it wafts past us and have encyclopedic knowledge of beauty brands. However, as we can’t go shopping with all of you, each month we dedicate it over to one beauty brand that’s really caught our eye so we can share a bit of the knowledge with you. This month it’s the turn of Burberry Beauty. Because quite frankly, they are a brand that can do no wrong. They gave us the iconic trench, their handbags are to die for, and their beauty range is a great way to get a lit of this luxurious label into your hands without having to forgo daily meals or miss a mortgage payment.
Not only are the the products gorgeous to look at, have you seen their sleek packaging?? I’d be happy enough toting that around on my arm, let alone one of their designer handbags. The list of brand ambassadors that the too cool for school brand have on their books is pretty mesmerising too. From Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss for Burberry’s iconic My Burberry Fragrance £27.50. Suki Waterhouse as the face of Burberry beauty, Rosie Huntington Whiteley was one of the (stunning) faces of Burberry Body Eau De Toilette £50.00 along side Lily Donaldson and Nina Parker, shot by Mario Testino in London, natch (squad goals anyone?). On top of this, their Burberry beauty creative consultant is non other than Make up supremo to the stars Wendy Rowe.
Burberry Beauty creative consultant Wendy Rowe has worked on the Burberry Prorsum show for over a decade, and knows her stuff. With over 10 years behind the brand that is one of the best stamps of approval and really seals its beauty credentials as a luxury beauty brand.
One of Wendy’s Burberry Beauty favourites is the Burberry Cashmere Foundation, a Flawless Soft-Matte Foundation £35.00 (similar foundation here), a full coverage foundation for a flawless long lasting complexion Inspired by the softness of Burberry cashmere, or as Wendy says, “like wrapping yourself in a huge cashmere scarf” .
Another product we are practically drooling over in the office is the Burberry Gold Glow Fragranced Luminising Powder, £45.00 this radienace boosting pressed powder, not only gives you the ethreal skin of your teens, its also delicately fragranced with the iconic My Burberry perfume. It’s so perfect to pop in your suitcase and simply buff on to take yourself straight from beach to bar. The golden powder will highlight tanned skin perfectly with a sultry sunset glow.
To top off your summer glow, get your hand on this limited edition Burberry Body Cream Gold, Limited edition £46.00 their first drop sold out like hot cakes, and for damn good reason too. The rich, nourishing cream smells divine and leaves skin expertly moisturised. If this cream is good enough to grace the limbs of the supermodels at the Burberry shows then it’s good enough for me and my slightly shorter legs! I’ve been slathering this on to rid myself of post winter pins and no longer get the fear when the hot weather strikes and I forgo my trusty jeans and out come the cut offs.
