3 Reasons Why We Love Aveda
Posted by Rachael Wheeler in Makeup, Organic & Natural
Consistently at the top of the crops (for all things hair related), I’ve had Aveda on my radar for a while now. With some eagerly awaited launches in the pipeline such as the new Tulasara facial oils (launching in Sept, keep you eyes peeled) I got my lucky mitts on one earlier and am down to the last dregs, desperate to replace as soon as it launches (will review soon, I promise), honestly I can’t get enough of it. So make sure you are subscribed to our emails and following us on instagram for all our latest products news and launches.
So whether you're already an Aveda lover, or looking for something a little more natural to go into your makeup bag, we’re sure there’s something tempt you with the Aveda Makeup range, available here. Especially their Aveda Mosscara, https://www.mybeautymatches.com/aveda-mosscara-female have your tried it? My lashes are positively spider like.
Confused as to which products to start with when it comes to going natural well, here’s a quick guide of my Aveda key pieces for summer to update your makeup bag and make the most of your summer glow.
This glossy black mascara is the easiest swap to make. As some who who is proud of their inky black lashes, abet always helped by several coatings of the latest lash lengthening, volumising and thickening if I can get all three mascara goals out there. Oh and I’m also a sucker for some nice designer packaging, If I can't afford the Chanel quilted bag then at least I’ve got a Dior mascara type compromise. But this natural thickening mascara formula is enriched with Icelandic moss to condition your lashes from root to tip. My lashes soft to touch and didn't flake from 8am right through until I took it off for bed. Eagerly inspecting under my lashes for any fallen flakes I was sorely disappointed it passed so easily. Then I realised I was delighted than I can finally live out my mascara dreams (aka clumpy all day every day) without ruining my lashes.
The sun’s out, so bronzer is called for. Not as dark as some that I fall for (especially after a trip to the med) but this peachy bronzer can double as a blusher too. Sweep onto your cheeks, temples and forehead for a healthy, radiant glow to your tan. This is an ideal bronzer, for those with dry skin as it won’t look powdery or cakey when on. Another plus is that the compact (bought separately) is refillable so you just need to replace the colour each time rather than the whole thing. It even has a space for your lippy too!
Top Tip: Use Aveda Uruku Bronzer on collarbones and shoulders to catch the light and enhance definition.
The Aveda Tinted Moisturiser is an ultra creamy oil free moisturiser ideal for those who want a lightweight coverage but also hate the feeling of wearing any makeup. It’s so lightweight and comfortable you can forget you're even wearing makeup yet you skin looks smooth and even and is protected from the sun by a mineral sun cream. It comes in 6 shades including Bark for dark skins, which won’t leave you looking ashy or washed out, but dewy and hydrated in the sun.
