How To Take Care Of Sensitive Skin Whilst Travelling Long Distance
Posted by Lisa Franklin in Skin Care
It always seems impossible to look as if you have just stepped out of a first class salon rather than off a long - haul flight when travelling long distance, but rest assure first class skin is achievable with a dedicated regime.
Here are some tips I provide my clients when travelling for business or pleasure.
Settle yourself into your seat with the latest novel, eye mask, ear muffs and product pouch ready to hand. Order a tomato juice and a bottle or two of mineral water. Taste buds are affected by the cabin pressure, air conditioning and background noise and it has been found that umami foods such as tomato juice taste better.
Take Care Of Your Skin
After take off, as the plane begins to cruise it’s the time to start your in flight facial experience. First remove all your makeup with a cream cleanser. Spray a spritz lotion to refresh, tone and energise your skin. Now get ready for some blissful quiet time. Apply a hydrating mask for dehydrated, drained, taut and tired skin. A luxurious mask with delicate floral aromas provides immediate, time released, deep hydration. Close your eyes, wear an eye mask and ear muffs to drown out the background noise and relax for 30 minutes or so.
An hour before landing prime your skin with the LISA FRANKLIN Pro Effect Luminescent Base £70. This will give your skin a soft cushiony feel to instantly smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, whilst helping to reduce redness or rosacea which can sometimes flare up mid flight. Follow these steps up with a quick brush of mineral powder and blusher to leave your skin looking as if you have just stepped out of a salon rather than an aeroplane.
