Pantone's Colours Of 2016: 6 Products You'll Want To Know About
Posted by Rachael Funnell in Makeup
Pantone, experts on colour, have announced their colour of the year for 2016, but there’s a twist. For the first time ever this year Pantone have selected two complimentary shades of Serenity (pale blue/lilac) and Rose Quartz (powder pink). The shades are expected to feature throughout the year across fashion, lifestyle and beauty products so we’re here to help you get ahead of the trend. We’ve gathered a selection of our handpicked favourites in the two hottest colours of the year (warning: gorgeous products imminent.)
Nails Inc. NailKale Nail Polish – St. John’s Wood Gardens £14 Keep your manicure in tip-top condition with this gorgeous NailKale Nail Polish in St. John’s Wood Gardens. This gorgeous hue is the perfect match for Rose Quartz and gives you that coveted high-shine finish for healthier looking nails. Beauty hero? We think so. Formulated with anti-oxidant kale extracts, Nails Inc.’s patented Regenerating Complex boosts keratin production for harder, stronger, healthier looking nails. The polish also contains a patented plasticizer to ensure long-lasting wear, amazing chip-resistance and a high-shine finish. Say goodbye to daily applications, this one is in it for the long run.
Model’s Own Blueberry Muffin Nail Polish £4.99 To add a hint of Serenity to your nail ideas we think this Blueberry Muffin polish from Model’s Own is the perfect match. A gorgeous soft pastel colour that would work as a stand alone nail polish or paired with a Rose Quartz colour for a nail style that is truly Pantone approved. As an added benefit, this nail polish is gorgeously scented with a fruity fragrance so your hands will smell as gorgeous as they look.
Barry M Supersoft Eye Crayon £3.99 This jumbo sized eye shadow pencil has a super soft formula which glides on perfectly for an easy application. There are multiple gorgeous colours to choose from but our favourite is this pantone approved blue which has a gorgeous shimmering finish. If you need a few pointers on application you can watch an expert guide on using the pencil here.
NARS Duo Eyeshadow £25 This beautiful Eyeshadow Duo from NARS can help you to create modern, unique and sometimes unexpected colour combinations of eyeshadow shades, with the perfect hue for rocking the rose quartz trend. The two colours can be worn alone or together and glide on smoothly and evenly for effortless blending. True Colour Application can be applied to dry or dampened lids for intense colour or a smokey look.
RMK Pressed Powder N03 £32 This luxurious setting powder from RMK delivers a fine, textured, translucent layer that creates the perfect natural finish. By blending the 4 different textures with the powder brush, the Pantone inspired hues work to eliminate shine in the T-zone and correct tone for a natural and bright complexion.
Anna Sui Marble Effect Lipstick £23 Our final Rose Quartz inspired piece is this lipstick by Anna Sui. With its conditioning, marble-effect formula this gorgeous product blends two shades to create a unique colour with every application. Infused with fruit and flower oils, the delicious texture will smooth and soften lips and with a sweet rose scent you’ll look and smell gorgeous.
