Pucker up with NEW! Burberry Full Kisses Lip Colour
Posted by Rachael Wheeler in Makeup, Tried & Tested
Burberry have got our hearts racing yet again with their recent launch. The new Burberry Full Kisses lipstick collection. As our current brand of the month I am super excited to be able to put these babies to the test.
Now, Burberry are no stranger to a great brand ambassador what with Kate Moss, Jourdan Dunn, Emma Watson, Romeo Beckham and Sienna Miller (to name a few) on their books. So it was only apt for their latest launch that they kept up the good work. This time they chose brit babe Suki Waterhouse, the perfect choice for the fresh, new lipsticks. Teaser: If you thought you didn’t need any more lip colours then think again, because these are INCREDIBLE. Check out the brand new Burberry Full Kisses Lip Pen line up.
Available in fourteen gorgeous shades, the new lipsticks are inspired by the colours and fabrics found in Burberry’s latest runway collection, so this is a great way to get a piece of Burberry Couture, without the hefty price tag.
First up, these just look amazing. (that’s before I’ve even given a go), super sleek and they look really luxurious, with their gunmetal glossy tubes and subtly etched burberry check lids (nice touch their burberry, well done). The delivery system is so easy to use, simpy twist up and slick on, no need for any messy sharpeners like some crayons. And then there’s the formula…. What can I say, it’s spot on. The lipsticks are creamy without being greasy, the formula is matte enough so they look on trend and fresh for summer without making your lips drier than the sahara and the shape means there's no need for a liner as it’s super precise and easy defines cupids bows. Oh, and did I mention I’ve been wearing it all day so far and it’s still going strong.
My current favourites are Cherrry Blossom, which is the right side of bubblegum pink than makes complexions brighter and perks up a dreary monday perfectly. Rosehip is the ideal meeting/interview shade. The natural pink has a hint of mauve about it that looks professional, suits all complexions and makes you look polished without making too much of a statement. Then comes light crimson...don’t let the vibrant shade in the tube put you off. It looks super bright, but oh my does this work with a tan. Stick it on straight from the beach and head to the bar.
The best part of this new collection however, is that it’s genius formulation has been designed to provide completely buildable coverage. With just one layer you get a hydrating, sheer wash of colour, great for day wear and then with each layer added it builds upon the colour and intensity for an intensely deep and vibrant pop of colour to finish. If you didn’t know you needed another lip pen then sorry to disappoint you, but make space in your make up kits as this needs to be in your summer makeup refresh. All this for only £24. Bargain.
